In the great but forgotten superhero TV series, Once a Hero – showing the life of Captain Justice, a former superhero who crossed over from fantasy and in the real world, where superpowers didn’t exist. The fourth (but never aired) episode was the story about an actor who played Captain Justice on TV and who now was typecast in the role and was frustrated that no one would take him seriously as any actor any more. The part was played by Adam West.

The characters in Comedy Central’s raunchy spoof of both animated TV shows and CBS’ “Big Brother”, “Drawn Together”, parodies superheros with the character Captain Hero. Others include Foxxy Love, Ling-Ling, Princess Clara, Spanky Ham, Toot Braunstein, Wooldoor Sockbat, and Xandir P. Wifflebottom.
