Bluto, played by John Belushi, was described as a future chairman of U.S. Steel in promotional materials for Animal House, but as a future U.S. senator in the “where are they now” sequence at the end of the movie.
In the cartoon, Popeye the Sailor Man, Popeye’s arch enemy is a character called Bluto (or Brutus). Bluto has also played Popeye’s enemy appearing in cartoon episodes as Sinbad the Sailor and Abu Hassin. Bluto portrayed Sinbad the Sailor and Abu Hassin (“Popeye Meets Ali Baba’s Forty Thieves” episode) in two eleven-minute cartoons done by Fleischer Studios. Bluto (or Brutus as he is usually known in the animation) actually did disguise himself as Superman in one cartoon to woo Olive away from Popeye. In that cartoon Olive was smitten by Superman while reading his comic book adventures; however, Bluto did not portray Superman.

In 1980, John Madden retired as head coach of the Oakland Raiders, to spend more time with his family. He took a sportscasting job at CBS a few months later, after findng out the hard way that his family didn’t really want to spend more time with HIM.
Part of the reason for John Madden’s retirement as coach was his intense fear of flying. As an announcer, he could take trains between engagements, but eventually was given his own “luxury motor coach” (IOW, a bus), nicknamed the Madden Cruiser. He’s gone through a total of six of these to date, including the one he used to provide Peggy Fleming a ride home from NYC to California after 9/11.
Art Fleming, the original host of Jeopardy!, appeared as himself in the video of Weird Al Yankovic’s “I Lost on Jeopardy!”

The Baltimore Ravens adopted their name in honor of Edgar Allan Poe, who lived and worked for many years in Baltimore, and whose best known work is the poem “The Raven.”
At least 7 ravens are kept at the Tower of London by the Yeomen Warders (Beefeaters), due to a tradition that “If the Tower of London ravens are lost or fly away, the Crown will fall and Britain with it.” The Tower ravens are enlisted as soldiers of the Kingdom, and were issued attestation cards in the same way as soldiers and police. As is the case with soldiers, the ravens can be dismissed for unsatisfactory conduct.
The Tower of London’s official name is Her Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress.
George Lazenby’s only appearance as James Bond was in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
Her Majesty’s Secret Service has also been known, over the years, as MI6; Military Intelligence, Section 6; SIS and the Secret Intelligence Service. It is under the direction of the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, the British equivalent of the U.S. Secretary of State.
