The main artillery school for the US Army and US Marine Corps is Fort Sill, Oklahoma, near Lawton. This is where the Apache leader, Geronimo, is buried. His gravesite is easy to find.

The cell at Fort Sill where Geronimo was kept is still standing. Legend has it that he was able to bend the steel bars of his window despite his advanced age.

The Muppets first appeared in 1955 on local Washington, DC television (WRC-TV), in Jim Henson’s show “Sam and Friends”. Sam was a bald human-looking puppet with wide eyes, large ears, and a big nose. His friends included Yorick, Harry the Hipster, Professor Madcliffe, Chicken Liver, and a lizard-like creature called Kermit who later evolved into Kermit the Frog.

Grover, also known as Grover Monster, has his birthday on 14 October. A Muppet prototype for Grover appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show on 24 December 1967 with greenish-brown fur and a red nose. He was referred to as “Gleep.”

Grover’s current name and appearance (blue fur, pink nose) made an appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show on 31 May 1970. On Sesame Street, the true Grover “officially” debuted during the second season in 1970.

President Grover Cleveland was the only US President with the first name of “Stephen.” (Grover was his middle name).

Three of the four main personalities on the History Channel show “Pawn Stars” are grandfather, father, and son Richard Benjamin Harrison Jr., Richard Kevin Harrison, and Corey Harrison, also known as Old Man, Rick, and Big Hoss. They believe themselves to be descended from both William Henry and Benjamin Harrison. The other major “performer” is employee Austin “Chumlee” Russell.

A political cartoon from President Benjamin Harrison’s administration showed him wearing his grandfather’s hat, which was clearly much too big for him, suggesting that he was not up to the job.

From personal experience, of this form: when I was in Indianapolis two weeks ago I toured the Benjamin Harrison house (at Delaware and 13th, IIRC). That came from the tour guide. I asked him about it and he confirmed the information and expounded a bit on it.
