IIRC, the original trailer for the flick said that she was his daughter, but I could be misremembering.
I can think of a few, although I had to go to IMDB to hunt down the details:[ul]

Garry Marshall directed his granddaughters Lilly and Charlotte in The Princess Diaries, and it was there or in another of his movies where he named the high school Lilly and Charlotte something or other.

Chris Columbus directed daughter Eleanor Columbus in the first two Harry Potter films, as background character Susan Bones. And by “background”, I mean that literally, she appears in the background in almost any scene with a crowd shot whether it makes sense for her character or not.
Well, we won’t put any timelines on it since that would just, you know, encourage the enemy or something. You just keep working!
