I chuckled as I read the column on legs falling asleep, especially when I noticed the date of February 10, 1984, during Trivial Pursuit’s heyday.
Box office for the weekend of February 10-12, 1984. How many of these movies have we still not gotten around to watching yet?

Sure,
But I have found that on occasion that I will awake in the middle of the night to find a cold lifeless thing on my face . . . my hand. It is cold to the touch (with the other hand) and is completely without feeling. It usually recovers within a few minutes both temp and sensation. So is the ulnar pinch described in the answer responsible for the change in temp for that area of the body or have I somehow cut off my own blood flow as well as pinched my Ulnar nerve?
Have fun
ghengi, that was my question too. Is a cold limb a danger sign?
On your face? Well, offhand I would notice that your hand is higher than your heart. Now normally that isn’t a problem (or you’d never be conscious), but in a sleep state your heart is at a slow rate and soft beat (as opposed to pounding hard after a good run). So couple that with perhaps a poor circulation, and that would help lead to a cold hand. As for why it’s numb, perhaps it is pinched, too?
But that’s just speculation on my part.
