We’ve recently been having a number of trolls and similar pests popping up. They get banned pretty rapidly and their posts all vanish into the depths.
There was a thread here with this same thread title, where people were reporting such creatures. Threads like that are just fuel for the fire: trolls WANT acknowledgement, they like to see that they’re causing annoyances (even if it’s nothing much more than a gnat bite), and any public response encourages them. Consequently, I have “disappeared” the thread.
If you find such beasts, or suspect such, please use the REPORT BAD THREAD button (little exclamation point in a red triangle in upper right corner of the post) to call this to the Moderators’ attention. Please, do not post their names. Do not bother to respond to their posts which will vanish soon enough. (If a trollish post gets enough responses, we have to disappear the whole thread, which is pretty much a waste of your time and ours.)
So, please:
- If you see someone who appears to be trolling, or whose username indicates such, use the REPORT BAD POST button.
- Do not respond to their post.
- Do not start a thread about their stupidity or whatever.

If they see that they’re not causing any sort of stir, they’ll tire of the game soon enough.
