That financial philosophy does describe me. But I also like very low fees because why let a fee be a drag on performance over a multi-decade time horizon? An unnecessary 1% fee compounded is quite expensive. The only time I deviated from a so-called DCA philosophy was during March 2020 when everyone was panicking.
Studies have shown that men lag women who in turn lag monkeys when it comes to stocks. I figure an index fund is a good proxy for a monkey so that’s what I go with.

To shriek about NIMBY and fake green energy. A few posters had a moment or two to snark before Aspenglow shut it down, but the poster in question must have stumbled in from somewhere, with their 8 minutes of read time to address a near-two decade old rant.

And a poster frequently mentioned in this thread, agzem, who we’ve noted makes frequent inappropriate hijacks and low quality arguments based on… suspect information (and misrepresents even that) has pulled a warning, a 3 day suspension, and a modloop consideration in the Child Labor in Alabama thread.
Part of that is due to their posting history, but they went whole hog in their usual ‘PC/Woke culture’ hijacks into the thread.
