Calling someone a liar in the Pit is just a common greeting.
The only interactions I see moderated regularly are bigotry (racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, etc.), physical threats or wishing someone harm (even a non-specific meme like “die in a fire”), and really REALLY blatant trolling or doxxing.
Personal attacks, accusations of lying and trolling, calling someone a racist, those things aren’t just okay, they’re why the Pit is here really. Someone is being a lying racist shithead but not egregiously enough for moderator action, call them out on it here.
It’s probably the least original person one could imagine, since there’s a 400-post Pit thread dedicated to him lying. But it was amusing that even when the facts did strongly support his point in the Musk thread, Sam Stone still just could help but throw in a couple of unnecessary “errors”. It just seems to be compulsive with him.
Oh. Him. Our resident old fart, a man so propagandized that he couldn’t help but bring politics into the ‘journalism is bad’ thread (post 25). A man so pitiful he whines about how he is being treated, yet still comes back for more abuse.
Must be lonely where he lives. Me, I like hanging out with people who like me (hi!). Perhaps Sam doesn’t have that option in real life either, and electronic rejection is more than likely less painful than in-person rejection.
slicedalone seems like fun. Currently in P&E, arguing that it doesn’t matter if Trump serves any time in jail. It’s everyone else involved, you see, that should bear the consequences of his incompetence.
He isn’t scared about what they think-he is concerned that they might not like what is going on. Instead of giving his own opinion, he will report on the supposed opinions of the right.
