W_E seems to think she was baited. All I saw was people responding to her clearly breaking her topic ban, and not in any Pit-style way. I admire their restraint.
Me, she’s the only unbanned poster I have on ignore, and have even before she flounced, when she thought suggesting I had to be a wife-beater was a great debating tactic. I unhid a couple of her posts now, but I don’t see anything that’s changed.

Yeah, that’s pretty bad. If I saw Chase, I would have just used he/him by default anyway (for better or worse_. You’d really have to know his background to mis-gender him. I hadn’t even heard of him before that thread.
To be clear, she was in the process of breaking her topic ban on trans issues: she was criticizing a trans activist for talking about JK Rowling. In the course of breaking her topic ban, she broke the rule that resulted in her topic ban. It’s hard to get more rulebreaky than that.

Totally agree. I could imagine a situation where someone goes by they/them or is enby or difficult to tell and is accidentally misgendered. My point there was, it would be tough to do that with Chase.

Yeah, I really don’t get how being aware of the problem with JK Rowling re ‘the woke’ is in any way baiting the person that used JK Rowling as her prime example of the problem with ‘the woke’.

p.s. I thought that when a name change went through, all the posts made by that poster were changed to the new name. Her posts show up under two nomes d’Internet.
Speaking only for my species, the usual answer is “rabies”. 
That’s if she had a name change. Some people created a new account when the board switched to Discourse (because they couldn’t sign in to the old account) and as long as they aren’t pretending to be someone new or logging in with the old account, mods seem to be okay with it.

I think there’s some form of intersectionality and belief in a zero-sum situation going on. Reading between the lines and discarding the trans phobia, ISTM that the source of her anger is the belief that the ‘wokerati’ have left Blacks, women and especially black women behind in their search for a new cause du jour.
I wonder if she really thinks that Laverne Cox should use a men’s room?
