I get more Sliced Alone - opinionated, contentious, never shuts up.
Whoever he is, he’s boring. I read two threads last night thinking there was some new interesting convo going on. It was just dgy blathering and blathering and blathering.
dgy seems particularly jerkish in Is Windows 7 safe to use today? And of course the entire thread seems like a troll (is it ever anything but when someone on a public board asks about or insists on using an obsolete operating system? They didn’t start the thread, but their drawer-smelling companion jackson99 did).
Anyway, IMHO, dgy is definitely trolling in IMHO. But of course IMHO tends to get more leeway than FQ or GD. Yet more evidence they seem to know the forum pretty well (then again, I haven’t been following them closely—maybe they’re like that in FQ and GD too?).
I could see that. Or Roger_That. It’s definitely the way they’re going in the Windows 7 thread.

I must say, having the same initial-D purple “avatar” as DrDeth was already not gonna endear them to me. More so when they post right after each other, like in the “Movie version has taken over” thread.
It’s no longer hidden. In the beginning, it was hidden. Then when I resurrected the thread on not allowing hidden profiles a couple days ago (because trolls tend to use them), he made it public. Was it hidden since then?

I confess I’ve had this thought recently myself. In the past when it’s been suggested that the board might be the target of organized troll farms I’ve dismissed it pretty much out of hand because I didn’t think we were big enough to be a target of that sort of activity. Recently I’ve become less sure of that. To be sure trolls and trocks seem to go in waves. I know this is only anecdotal based on my own experiences, but it really does seem like there’s been a noticeable uptick within the last few months.
We aren’t, but the trolls that aren’t good enough for Twitter need to work too.
