Actually, the thanks are due to all you mods for the thankless often grim work you all volunteer for~know that you are appreciated.
Not a “new poster,” but GulfTiger hadn’t posted in four years (and his posts back then were strongly pro-Trump), until suddenly coming back here two days ago, and making nine posts in the Biden threads, at least some of which are of the pot-stirring variety.
Edit: and I see that he was just moderated by Aspenglow for a couple of those.
I’m following that thread pretty closely. That poster is on my radar right now.
And their first modnote has happened.
Actually, report any weird political stuff from either side. To be sure, some trolls post die-hard Republican stuff, but some also post die-hard Democratic stuff. I think many trolls don’t even have any particular political views, and just go with whatever they think will get the most bites.
We’ve seen a couple of attempts at Bernie Sanders bear-pokes, but they didn’t get any traction and got mod-slapped down fast.
I think our newly revived friend GulfTiger may be pretending to be in that category, but some of his previous posts seem to belie that. He’s come out of hiding fairly recently and most of his recent posts are just weird (Biden might change his mind and jump back in; Michelle Obama might decide to “give it a shot”; Biden has “sinister” reasons for not having a presser yet) and are either not cited or cite very unreliable sources.
Based on the evidence so far, and looking at some of their other posts, my conclusion is that this is mainly just an idiot, but like many idiots, tends to absorb and emit right-wing tropes (“I’ve always thought of welfare as a type of insurance that pays the poor not to burn down nice neighborhoods.” 
– from “Libertarian solutions to poverty: do they make sense?” in GD).
If you look at his posts over the last 24 hours, he was concern posting. It got pretty blatant by the end. He has been suspended for one day and banned from a thread.
What he chooses to do on his return is up to him, but any more concern trolling and it will be to the Modloop with my arguing for a long suspension or ban.
To me, nearly all of his new posts on the Biden threads smack of trying to sow FUD among Democrats.

Looking at his history of posts, I’m getting the impression he’s just here to pwn the libs and would be an actual troll if only he weren’t so dumb.
