What I should have said, more appropriately, is that most of us went to school and actually learned stuff. A couple of us apparently didn’t and now are inventing their own pseudo-science which they deem to be “fact, not theory” (not even understanding what the term “theory” means) and are regaling us with their delusional versions of reality.
I’m reminded of a great line in an episode of the old TV series Family Ties. The parents in the family are very liberal with a background in academia. The father manages a PBS station. When their eldest daughter Mallory starts dating a greaser (think “the Fonz” from Happy Days) the parents ask to meet the young man. When he says he dropped out of high school, the father is very concerned and says something like, “can you expand on that?”. The Fonz says, “Yeah. When they had classes, I wasn’t there.”
Ha! I remember that ep. I’m not usually sensitive about my lack of education, I just wouldn’t want to know one of my favorite canine dopers thinks I’m a doofus.

Many of the troll hunters here have long memories. Does anyone recall Martin Hyde being one to post in baseball threads?
Martin Hyde was not a troll in substance. That is, he was an intelligent poster for the most part, albeit brusque and supercilious. He was just a pathological liar it seems, which was what got him banned it seems.

Of course I do, I’m a baseball fanatic, less than I used to be, but I lived and breathed baseball when I joined the board. Anyway, never mind. I did my own research.
I don’t recall him being a big baseball poster. Who was RNATB’s dad who was the crankiest old man to ever grace the board?
