A “JFDonnelly” who joined 5 hours ago, has revived a 20-year old thread in FQ about the origin of the phrase “Gal Friday” to challenge the idea that this phrase is out of favor, especially among women. This poster also used the phrase “the perpetually butt hurt crowd” to refer to people who might find “Gal Friday” objectionable.
I am, I think, risking little by predicting a quick and final good-bye to this poster will soon be in order. Although I have been wrong before.
I know some of the “perpetually butt hurt crowd”.
They are a dime a dozen. Saw one person bitching at a fast food restaurant to the teenaged Asst. Mgr. About the over loud(it wasn’t) music coming from the kitchen.
They just didn’t like the type of music. Simple as that.
