This is really trivial, but got a new pair of Rockports. I like them. Chicks dig 'em. But they have those thick leather thong-type laces. They won’t stay tied. What do other fashionable dopers do in this case? I’m hoping to avoid expensive retrofit.
Double-knot them. I always double-knot my shoelaces, and have only had to re-tie my shoes a half dozen times in over thirty years.
Coat the laces with rosin. You can get it at a music store.
