So my 5 year old Toshiba laptop has been sitting around unused for a year or so. I just fired it up and everything seems to work except there is no sound. Not from videos, CDs, stored music, nada. Also the printer tells me to feed it paper when there is plenty in the tray. Are there any obvious things a computer idiot should check first?
I don’t have it with me now. There are no internets at my house, so I am using a friend’s computer.
