I have a wireless receiver on my windows xp machine. The damn thing connects for anything between a couple of seconds to a few days, but then i get the ‘wireless disconnected’ icon in my system tray. Clicking on it it says windows wireless zero configuration cant control the connection. I have none of the linksys (or any other 3rd party) software on the machine.
I have tried shutting down all but system processes in the task manager, and the connection is then stable, so it must be a conflict with something that’s running.
My problem is that i must of shutdown 20-25 system processes!! Is it just a case of trial and error or is there a better way? or better still a program to do it for me?!!
