True Blood 8/21/11: "Run"

She’s an Organian.

I think Bill saving her from Pam made an impression.

Well, since Andy’s the sheriff and saw the whole thing, I don’t think there’ll be any problems keeping the incident under wraps. Besides, that kind of thing is getting to be old hat in Bon Temps.

Tara: “Oh shit, I just burned the crap out of my hand on this scalding hot doorknob created by a witch for the express purpose of keeping us locked in! Go check the front door!”

sizzle

Random Nobody : “ahhhhhhhhhhh”

Gangster Octopus: “Seriously?”

That was so fucking stupid. I would have just touched it with the tip of a finger or something to test it first. Then again, I wouldn’t have gotten myself involved with witches, especially in a vampire war, in the first place. In that world, I’d be keeping my head low and going about my business.

Yet none of them thought of trying to bust the doors down without touching the knobs, or climb out the window Sookie came in or any of the other 3-4 ways any rational person would’ve thought of to try to escape.

I think Debbie’s intention here was to get Sookie trapped by the witches and killed - had it been anyone but Tara there, Sookie would have been captured.

Of course, Sookie is too stupid to realize that -

I’ve liked every episode, but this one was meh. Except for the threesome scene. I never liked Eric; never had any humanity in him like Bill. And it doesn’t count now because he’s Eric Gump. As soon as he’s back to himself he’ll be an asshole again. I’ve always liked Bill, and keep holding out hope that he and Sookie will make sweet hot sexytimes again. I even think Stephen Moyer is better looking than Whatshisname ThatIdon’tknow.

Or use a towel and open the door using the doorknob.

We just see them trying to get out for like five seconds. For all we know they spent all night trying all that stuff.

I was reminded of a line from a Harry Potter movie, “Are you a witch or not?”

Hello? Do a doorknob freezing spell.

There’s probably a dozen ways they could have freed themselves.

Also, are there no emergency rooms near Bon Temps. When Bill was trying to give Sookie his blood Alcide said, “Isn’t there anything else w can do?” (or something like that) and my waife said, “Yeah, like take her to an ER?”

Do you really think Antonia’s spell was only powerful enough to affect the doorknobs? I’m pretty sure that awful things would happen no matter how they tried to leave the room.

Like any of these folks know where their towel is…

I liked this week. Lafayette is still the greatest character on the show, bar none. Alcide is gorgeous. I wanted to hug poor Terry who kept being prevented from rescuing Mikey, even though it’s a good thing he was stopped since he’d have hurt Lafayette or gotten killed.

One thing that made me do an immediate double take was them starting right out with Bill and Alcide trying to save Sookie. They cliffhanger us last week with Alcide running with her bleeding body in his arms, with all the vamps unavailable to help. Eric is bemozzled, Pam took off, Bill is silvered and the rest of the nameless ones are busy fighting. So they’re trying for an actual oh-no-Sookie-might-die-for-real thing, then blammo, there’s Bill, calmly collected and not even breathing hard from fighting his way out of the situation and running to wherever they were?

I think Debbie definitely was trying to get rid of Sookie via witch. She purposefully used Sookie’s mind-reading to her own advantage, as did Tara. Speaking of, part of Sookie’s character is that she has to concentrate really hard to not be constantly bombarded by the inside thoughts of everyone around her, hence her attraction to vampires for the blessed relief of that, right? Seems like she must have gotten really good suddenly at not being bombarded, since her mind reading only happens when she works real hard at it now.

I’d like to hope that Tara’s thinking at Sookie meant that Tara still cared about her ‘best friend’ but somehow I doubt it.

Vampire blood, if they could get it in her, would heal her miraculously, and fast. Also, they would ask questions about a gunshot wouund at the ER and drag in the police. Also, more drama with Beeel healing his beloved Sookie.

Then why wait to run her to the house and look at her slowly? Just stop where you are and feed her then run to the house.

The ER can’t help. They tried that in season 3 after Bill nearly killed her in the back of the van. Sookie “doesn’t have a blood type” and her body won’t accept transfusions.

To be fair, it’s not a Mensa meeting, it’s a meeting full of people about as smart as a box of hair. You have to be pretty stupid to think stirring crap up with vampires is a good idea and not likely to get some of your group dead.

Elaine’s sister is the only one that we know of that is a practicing witch, besides Antonia/Martie and Jesus.

Everyone else is there because they dislike vampires, not because of their magic skills.

I forget her name, but that one waitress from Merlotte’s (the one that had the date with Andy) is there for magic (was even talking about it last year) not just fangaphobia.

Oh man, it just hit me, Andy’s the sheriff. Sheriff Andy… :smack:

Does that make Jason Don Knotts?
