Born yesterday, as I found out by watching CBS’s Sunday Morning, was Truman Capote. “In Cold Blood” and “A Christmas Memory” were very good, and I love both of them. But “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” is the best of his that I have read. You’ve maybe seen the film. Read the book and purge your mind of Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard, and the rest. I don’t mean to knock the movie. It was entertaining. The novella is heartbreaking.
Man, that is impressive – a one day old baby has already produced three books! No wonder CBS mentioned it.
Well, I guess there was lots of time to work on them in the womb.
