 That just gave me a really disturbing mental image.
I think I might actually buy this book.
Clearly that’s part of an elaborate SNL parody.

Been gone for a good while, with the occasional lurk, but this is just too good to pass up. I encourage anyone who hasn’t done so to read the entire, unexpurgated excerpt in the NYT (links above). I think we can now add paranoiac to serial liar, misanthropist/misogynist, racist, narcissist, ignoramus, and egomaniac. Ivanka’s monologue on Trump’s hair is hilarious. I just about literally laughed my ass off.
Personally, I’ll bet there’s far more than just a grain of truth in all that. Our long national nightmare is in full swing.
So where are the usual suspects now? Probably rewatching Sarah Sanders’ comments so they can make sure they get the company line right.
Jumo is JUnior Moscow Operative, supposedly. Or maybe that definition is a backronym from a covfefe-esque rambling.
Aggressive, intra-party fighting is not going to help the party stave off potential slaughter in the midterms.
Too bad, so sad.
Evidently, Rosenstein met with Ryan to advise him that Mueller would not be submitting any materials demanded by House Committee Chairman Devin Nunes.
Awwww.
Whoops! I inadvertently gave misinformation. Apparently Rosenstein advised Ryan that they had reached an agreement to give Nunes what he asked for. Very different outcome than what I first heard about. Not reassuring, either.
If the rest of that book reads like that it’s going to be a real page turner. Probably go through the first printing in no time. Amazing.
And it looks like their is probably some substance to it or else Trump lawyers wouldn’t have hit Bannon with a cease and desist letter this evening.
Looks like this is just getting started.
I was going to say that with 200 interviews over 9-10 months, Wolff had a lot of leeway to selectively choose what choice sentences to include in his work. Given enough material, it wouldn’t be hard to find one instance where someone was blowing off steam, parodying the media, or otherwise saying something that, in context, is completely benign but out of context sounds like a solid, insider critique of the White House. So, really, unless he was ready to post the full recordings of all of his interviews, he was unlikely to accomplish much with his book, beyond giving the Left some spank bank material.
Since Wolff probably wouldn’t have posted those recordings (as they would most likely take apart large swaths of his work), the Cease and Desist actually does the one thing that could have actually given this book a little bit of weight.
That Trump would shoot himself in the foot: How surprising.
Trump’s lawyers have filed a cease and desist letter against Bannon.
Problem I have is wondering what percentage of likely voters are also paranoiacs, serial liars, misanthropists/misogynists, racists, narcissists, ignoramuses, and egomaniacs - or some combination of the above? ![]()
What percentage* isn’t?*
Yeah, you gotta figure when he is at his most ignorant/boorish/embarrassing, there are millions out there saying “That’s my guy!” :smack:
Sixty million or so, by actual count.
and against the publisher - President Trump tries to quash bombshell Michael Wolff book
He threatens to sue people all the time. And then he never follows through. Because he’d be deposed.
By the way, you know who thinks Trump obstructed justice, his legal spokesperson who quit because of it.
What’s the latest approval rating? 32%? 35%? Just about that many.
I said it even before he was elected. Trump is the personification of those traits in his voters. And they admire him for it.
Because the First Amendment only applies to The Donald. What a putz.
When I first read about this, one image came immediately came to mind, Lily Tomlin doing one of her characters (and I don’t think it was Ernestine, though it sounds like her): “Ha haha hahaha (raspberry).”
Fire and Fury, meet Sound and Fury.
From the raspberry-blowing, one is inclined to think of five-and-a-half-year old Edith Ann.
What is the status of Bannon as a potential witness?
I haven’t heard word one about it. Is he above the law? I think a “norming” of bannon by the justice system is way overdue. Then he can go back and flame, but he will be on record having been filmed entering the halls of justice, of the government he wants to destroy. I think we need that picture right now.
And Bannon is now backpedaling.
That toothpaste isn’t going back into that tube.
