Trump has just announced another rally at the same location in Butler, PA on October 5.
So he’s FINALLY doing something that demonstrates some modicum of strategy and thought.
Wonder how it’ll turn out.
Did he pay his bills from the last time he was there? oddly, for such a professed L&O candidate, he doesnt like to pay for the police.
If he didn’t he got his money’s worth.
In a couple of weeks it will be a year since exalted leader escaped death by ear booboo…I haven’t read all the comments, but my thought is the shooter was paid to do the deed because he had an incurable dire disease. His family would quietly be paid a chunk of money (chump change to Dump, of course) and he would be quickly and painlessly put out of his misery.
Care to share a factual cite that supports this rather wild conspiracy theory?
In the modern American legal system almost nothing is quick. So what IS the status of the case currently?

I’m not saying (and cannot say) that it was staged, but I find it suspicious that there is no evident damage to Trump’s ear. Cartilage doesn’t regrow like that. Maybe just the skin layer was grazed, which indicates that the maxi-pad on his ear was a stage prop.

Considering the nature of the comments, I’d suggest it as a best fit for the Pit if @salinqmind1 wishes to continue the discussion as laid out. So they still don’t think they have all the information on the assassination attempt? You’d think they would have learned that spinning up conspiracy theories can be a two-edged sword. Charging the SS to be only concerned with protection is a good ideas, though.
Some Breaking News on this that I’ve been looking for since a year ago: the motive of the shooter. So far as I know, that’s News that’s never broken. Nor do we know which officials made which decisions that day.
Seems like this should have been more-thoroughly investigated by now.
It became apparent decades ago that a sizable percentage of shooters in this country don’t have any kind of rational motive. Some people just want to actually use their toys for what they were designed for.
And when the shooter dies, the only way anyone can ever know their motive is if they left behind a manifesto of some sort.
And in the absence of a manifesto, the likely explanation is suicide by cop, or by Secret Service agent in this case.
To quote the (fictional) Charles Guiteau, the man who assassinated President Garfield, in the musical Assassins:
Rational thinking is almost never a motivation behind these things, even when the intended target is objectively bad in whatever way.
