They let a shooter get close enough to get several shots off. That was rapid fire. You don’t rapid fire from 1000 yds.

Correct, terms like “target”, “aiming”,”bullseye”, these are common terms in our language that can be related to firearms but aren’t always. When I hear “bullseye” my thought first goes to throwing darts, since I loved darts in my teen years.

After Republicans putting out ads with literal bullseyes of their opponents and, again, literally shooting guns at their ‘’‘opponents’‘’ I’m more than a little bothered that that quote is what… some folks are now trumpeting.
I’m hearing that one person in the crowd was killed, one seriously hurt and that the shooter is dead? I saw a vid with State Troopers pulling someone hurt/dead off of the bleachers. Yes it is all speculation right now; I wasn’t there.
I have been counseled that the GQP Boys will likely be out looking for ‘payback’ this weekend, so stay safe people. ( ie- If you are a well known supporter of President Biden, it’s probably not a safe day for you to take a walk in the park )

As someone who has heard thousands of rounds fired in open air those definitely sounded like gunshots. Gunshots don’t sound as impressive as they do on tv shows especially when they are being picked up by directional mics.
Yeah, that was maybe too lame and too cynical an attempt at topical humor. But I don’t see how this is anything but terrifying.
Candidates need to be protected better. Crazy people out there.
