Well, they didnt- only 66% of registered voters bother to vote, and of those only 47% voted for trump. So, about 30% voted for him.
And yes, trump will have it fixed- you wont need to vote because you can’t vote. or it will be like in the USSR- you get one choice.

Just yesterday I was having a conversation with a Christian woman who is an ardent anti-Trumper. She was grumbling about how Christian Nationalists aren’t very good on the Christian part. I replied they’re bearing down hard on “Nationalist,” the same way National Socialists were heavy on the Nationalist part, not so much on the Socialist.
The MAGAts want you to think that way. They want people to vote for Trump out of this fear. We cannot let them have it this way, because it’s wholly empty and a false threat. @DrDeth is right and they’re not going to do shit - they’re all talk and no effing action. There is certainly the possibility of some isolated nutbar tantrums, but there won’t be another insurrection again - I don’t believe it at all. The best thing we can do to avoid political violence is to decisively elect the Democrat.
I don’t really socialize with my co-workers but I did accept a FB follow with one, who is conservative. She recently posted, “Y’all, I don’t care who this pisses off but it must be posted. There’s a civil war coming. And it’s going to be bad.”

You mean the same ones who threatened civil war if the 2020 election wasn’t overturned? The ones who were going to prevent the FBI from executing a search warrant on his Mar a Lago property by any means necessary? The ones who were going to protect TFG from being arrested? The ones threatening the judges and prosecuting attorneys in his criminal and civil cases?
IF any of them actually try anything, they’re going to accomplish jack and shit. As much of a danger to democracy as he is, he’s not Hitler or Mussolini, he doesn’t have a private army of armed, organized thugs doing battle on the streets against his political opponents. The Covenant, the Sword, and the Arm of the Lord and The Order posed greater paramilitary threats to democracy by far than anyone TFG could get to hold a gun and attack the government, and look how well they did at provoking civil war.
And of course, as others have asked, how is this your biggest concern and not, you know, him actually being elected back into power?
But that’s just as likely to happen if he wins the election.
