Trump indicted

New York lawmakers call for cameras to be allowed inside courtrooms ahead of Trump’s arraignment.

“The American public has the right to witness history, and the media has a duty and responsibility to share this trial with the world.” - State Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal (D-Manhattan)

Senator, if you’re hoping Trump will embarrass himself on camera, he’s not capable of that. Anywhere.

I don’t know about Stormy, but it will be interesting to see how this affects another case out there:

If there’s DNA evidence on record in this case, what happens when Trump’s DNA hits the database after tomorrow? There was speculation that he’d send in fake DNA in the above case, but he can’t pull that off when it’s an official sampling being done.

I’m not so worried either, because I’ve thought about if the plane tries to divert from its reported route (other posters have speculated a trip to Moscow - ETA I don’t think anyone seriously speculated that, but it’s been said). While that’s not impossible, it’d be like the driver on Jan 6th-- the pilot is in control of the plane, so he’d have to decide to fly anywhere other than the intended route. I don’t see that happening, so trump would have to get there another way.

Of course, I don’t know anything about the pilot. He could be on putin’s personal payroll or something outlandish like that. Not impossible, but I’d guess highly improbable.

Though his plane is being referred to as “Trump Force One,” it’s a private plane, with a private citizen on it (albeit one with a Secret Service detail) and (I would strongly suspect) a private pilot. On January 6th, the driver of his car was a Secret Service agent.

If TFG really wants that flight to not go to New York, but to Moscow (or wherever), and gets his pilot to quietly agree ahead of time, I’m not sure what would stop them. Though, I agree, I don’t think it’s what’s going to happen. He likely would realize that, if he did that, it’d be very difficult for him to ever return to the U.S. (at least, not in handcuffs).

This is almost at the OJ Bronco level.

CNN has a Trump plane tracker.

I hope they allow photographers for that “sampling”, too! “I am sorry, Mr. ex-President, we need to take a stool sample and then a swab of your saliva. Yes, we use the same tool for both, but don’t worry, we change our gloves between samples.”

As I suspected. There is a new lawyer to head up his team. Those others were just to draw viewers.

If he hasn’t gotten money up front and expects to be paid by his client…

If the lawyer has already signed a multi-million dollar contract for a book deal, he doesn’t really need the upfront money, does he?

Trump used the Lawyer good at PR until time to face the charges in a courtroom.

It would get interesting if Trump pays bail. Maybe 1 million?

I track planes flying overhead using FlightRadar.com, and I happened to notice a feature I hadn’t paid attention to before: Most Tracked Flights. I clicked on it, and the #1 entry was B752, with no other details. No flight plan, no N number, nothing. Being tracked by more than 73,000 people.

Hmmmm…

It has just this minute landed at LaGuardia.

(I was going to post this when I first saw it a couple of hours ago, but I got distracted. Sorry.)

Also I personally would count Trump leaving the country as a fugitive from justice as a win for the good guys. We might not get the full satisfaction of Justice served, but he would be out for good as as a force in US politics. I’d happily take that trade.

I, too.

I, thrice.

That is so against type I can see how people are confused.

I took it as he is impossible to embarrass to he cannot possibly embarrass himself.

Oops, sorry, replying to wrong post. So this one probably doesn’t make sense. Please disregard!

Sorry, the correct name of the website is FlightRadar24.com.

I think this is an interesting observation. It’s possible that he just never had such travel plans, but it’s also possible that he has a reason not to try.
Things that make you go “Hmm”.
(And things that I would never have noticed!)

Well, how much international travel did the guy do before his Presidenting days? I mean, did he even have a passport before assuming office?

I don’t know.
If I had to guess, I’d guess that he at least flew to Scotland to cut the ribbon at his golf course, and to be the first one to use some toilet there.
