I remember reading that Trump used the courts throughout his career to break contracts and avoid fully paying his sub contractors. Don’t like it? Sue me
It was surprisingly effective for Trump.
Obviously it will be different this time. Fighting felony charges will be new to Trump and he’s risking prison.
This can’t be good. Attacking your lawyer before going to court? Trump needs the best criminal law attorneys.
Trump Force One waiting on tarmac at Florida airport
By Martha Kelner, US correspondent
Only Donald Trump could create such a sense of occasion and spectacle around his own arraignment.
His team have been treating the choreography around his journey from Florida to New York like a stop on the campaign trail, briefing on his expected movements.
As such, the world’s media is gathered on one side of Bingham Island bridge, which overlooks the cluster of buildings making up his private Mar-a-Lago estate.
Everyone is waiting for a glimpse of the motorcade which, around midday today, will transport the former president to Palm Beach international airport.
Already waiting on the tarmac is Trump Force One, his private plane, which will whisk him to New York in a journey lasting just over two hours.
Even if true, his argument is bullshit. When you share 3rd party content on social media, the first thing you do is check the auto-populated image in the preview. If you don’t want that image associated with you, you can create your own image or simply share the content without the image.
If it appears in your post, it’s no different than if you created it yourself. You want it out there.
Which fits, because trump is a wannabe mobster anyway.
Which reminds me, as far back as early 2017, I was wondering who would be trump’s Sammy the Bull–for a long time, I thought it would be Cohen, but while he’s done damage, it hasn’t happened yet. Weisselberg? He hasn’t turned yet (publicly). Someone’s got to turn on him to the extent that trump will fall. Or could it be cumulative?
Yeah, I take your point. I was thinking “wannabe” in the sense of a full-blown Mafioso like John Gotti. Instead, he is a mobster in the sense of his methods and tactics.
My money’s on the family. Ivanka has been brought up to be just like dad, and she’ll eventually throw him under the bus with a neat little judo move once she doesn’t need him anymore.
Why haven’t these indictments been unsealed yet? What’s the procedure for doing so? Is it like NY where they’re sealed until the arraignment? If so, who decides to arraign the accused?
I won’t claim that my prediction was successful if Trump gives a weird post-arraignment speech. Although it does feed the drama, it’s an expected level of drama for him, so I would see it as business as usual.
But if he does show up for arraignment Tuesday during normal business hours, I will find that surprising and instructive.
Be instructed, then: CNN has been breathlessly following the progress of his magnificent motorcase toward the airport where magnificent Trump Force One awaits his arrival to fly him to the moon – er, ah, to New York, so that he may gather his magnificent strength in his Manhattan lair – er, magnificent penthouse before striding magnificently into the courthouse to face down his evil corrupt foes.
According to this, a gag order or some kind is likely but there will be no travel restrictions. He will fly back home immediately after the hearing and speak at Mar-a-Lago that night. No handcuffs but there will be fingerprints, mug shot and DNA swab. Do you think Stormy saved a blue dress?
This is one instance where I wish the RWNJ’s suspicions about the MSM (mainstream media) were true, and normal news outlets would not cover the crazy maunderings of TFG, and deny him that sweet, sweet attention he craves.
