Trump indicted

they are toggling between 2, one full table and full face, the other profile.

Here are some others from inside the courtroom:

CNN legal commentator just mentioned that the defence table is to the left, the prosecution table to the right.

Just the opposite in Canadian courtrooms I’m familiar with: prosecution sits to the judge’s right (ie left side of courtroom facing the judge) and accused to the judge’s left (right side of courtroom).

MSNBC suggests there’s a conspiracy count.

In American courtrooms, the tradition is to seat the prosecution and witnesses closest to the jury, so prosecutors can go on either side of the well, depending on where the jurors are seated.

There’s a conspiracy count. Maybe two.

I should really wait until we know what the charges are, but 34 number was leaked earlier and it’s likely the same misdemeanor business crime bumped up to a felony because it was committed in furtherance of concealing another crime, that has been reported. I think, that other crime is the Election law stuff. I think, the election law stuff is federal law.

It’s undecided whether NY State law can charge Trump with a felony based on violating federal law. This will, rightly, be appealed all the up.

If there are true felony charges in there (a felony on its own), this will be much more serious for Trump.

Even that varies by jurisdiction. There is no set rule in the US.
In Seattle in the “old days,” we used to try to get to the courtroom early to grab the table we wanted for trial.

Interesting. But it may be more the way the courtroom (and for that matter, the building) is designed. At my local courthouse, the defense is on the left-hand side of the courtroom; the prosecutors are on the right.

I’m not surprised. Thanks for amending my information!

I disagree. His shoulders were slumped, and his expression was more that of “Oh, shit! This is real!” Maybe a smattering of being pissed, but more like depressed, or at least stressed, to me.

NYT says there are 34 felony counts.

Hey, we can agree on stressed, for sure!

I read the look as “furious.” /psychotherapist

I’ll defer to your professional opinion, for sure. My observation is he almost always looks like that.

Today is the day Donald Trump became unpresidented.

Probably over the door not being held for him.

Yea. We need to know if those are all piggybacking off misdemeanor crimes, or if some are straight felonies in their own right. I hope that makes sense.

MSNBC reports 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. That indicates all felonies. I do understand the distinction you’re making, but apparently DA Bragg doesn’t view this as an insurmountable legal issue.

Hopefully, the door will eventually be held for him. Shut.
