There’s an article in, I think, the NY Times today noting that according to reports, Trump doesn’t understand why Kemp doesn’t do whatever he tells him to. They mean that quite literally; he is incapable of understanding why Kemp does not follow his orders. Apparently, since Trump helped Kemp win the governor’s race in 2018, he believes Kemp is now his minion, and just assumed Kemp would do anything he was told. When it’s explained to him that Kemp is a governor of a state, and so doesn’t work for Trump and has to do what Georgia’s laws say, he struggles to comprehend that.
What is perhaps shocking is that anyone would be surprised by that. Trump has acted that way HIS ENTIRE LIFE. He has literally treated every “ally” he’s ever had by this. Why everyone who talks with him doesn’t record the conversation is a mystery to me.
I have no idea how to find it but Raffensperger is on record as saying that Trump did not do anything illegal when Trump called. Trying to find that statement only brings up a bunch of stuff claiming that the recording was an illegal wiretap.
Trump is threatening to turn up in 2022 and campaign against Kemp and Raffensperger. Is it still okay to do references to Br’er Rabbit and briar patches or have we moved on?
Also, take a moment to look closely at the picture (or video still, I guess) in that article.
WTH is a white guy in that picture wearing a “Blacks for Trump” shirt? That’s not an endorsement of Trump by any black people, just what a Trumpy white person wants to be true.
ETA: I get that there are black Trump voters, but a white guy wearing this shirt says nothing about that.
This commercial (“How about NO!”) was loved over in the Annoying Commercials thread - It would have been great for Raff to have sent it over to Loser Donald right after the ill-fated call…
I suspect the white guy with the ‘Blacks for Trump’ shirt may be trolling. Sort of like that guy that made all of the confused facial expressions while at one of Trumps ralleys.
