Lightnin:
The thing that I find so irritating is that if Hillary had won the Presidency and had done any one of these things, the howls of outrage from the right would be deafening- and rightly so, as they’re quite clearly scandal-worthy.
But the right has been remarkably silent this past week or so, aside from a few peeps about Trump’s failure to keep up his promise of locking up Hillary.
Oh yeah, and the plans for investigations and impeachment and trials were already “in the works” or “under serious consideration”. For shit that never happened. A complete turn around to 'work with him" and “give him a chance”. Bullshit.

I don’t buy any of the theories about Trump being a master persuader or an evil genius or any of that, but he has discovered the secret to getting away with stuff in the era of the 24/7 news cycle - volume. He just does something outrageous each day, or even multiple times a day, which means that no one act can ever metastasize and bring him down. His critics sound like lunatics if they actually sit down and try to list all the awful shit he does.
However, the constant stream of crap has had the effect of making him the most unpopular president-to-be in modern times, and it’s hard to see him actually winning back any of the people he pisses off for one reason or another. Just because nothing has brought him down yet doesn’t mean nothing will , especially if he continues along the lines of blatant cronyism with his real estate properties that he has begun.
He and they will blame it on liberals, lefties, democrats, commies, etc etc etc.
White House accused of blocking information on bank’s Trump-Russia links
Ross, a private equity investor who has said he would step down from the bank after his final confirmation, had also been asked to provide more details about his own relationship with previous and current Russian investors in the bank, including Viktor Vekselberg, a longtime ally of the Russian president, and Vladimir Strzhalkovsky, the former vice-chairman of Bank of Cyprus who is also a former KGB agent with a close relationship to Putin.
One of Rachel Maddow’s long stories on this. Worth watching.
Bottom line is a Russian money launderer essentially gave $60 million to 45.
