It doesn’t always have to be for money. It may be worth it (for some people) to contribute to the downfall of someone they find abhorrent, with the potential for coming out slightly ahead after legal fees. But I have no idea what motivates Stormy Daniels.

It’s a safe assumption that if video surfaces of Trump tearing the fetus out with his own li’l marionette hands and biting its head off, MAGA hats will remain glued to evangelical “Christian” heads.

I’m not alleging anything, I’m asking because I don’t know.
I can’t get over the fact that Trump—who speaks and tweets accusations and hostility about EVERYONE who crosses him—has said not one word about Stormy Daniels. And not one word about Playmate Karen McDougal. And–possibly not incidentally–not one word about Vladimir Putin.
I ask myself what the women who accused Trump of groping them have in common–he called them all liars. And he has not called the two women who we know to have had intimate sexual contact with him, liars.
The women who accused him of abuse also have in common that he grabbed at them with his hands and/or put his mouth on them without their permission…but he himself remained fully clothed.
So we know that the abuse-accusing women (who have been called “liars” by Trump) probably don’t know intimate facts about his anatomy. But Stormy and Karen probably DO know intimate facts about his anatomy.
Putin probably knows these intimate facts, too. Any sexual encounters Trump had when he was in Russia were almost certainly filmed. If, for example, one or more Russian hookers commented on the videos about the size of Trump’s equipment (shall we say), and if Trump were informed that videos existed showing his body AND showing women commenting about his body–and possibly laughing–how would that motivate Trump?
Since Trump felt no need to be silent about the women he groped, but does apparently feel a need to be silent about the women who saw him naked–and who might have photographic proof–what does this imply about what he fears will be revealed?
Why isn’t Trump saying ‘liar’ or other hostile things about Stormy and about Karen McDougal, when he’s silent about NO other person in a position to reveal things about him? (Except for Vlad; Trump isn’t saying hostile things about Vlad, either.)
Trump returned to DC today, his wife remained in Florida.

I assume Trump’s lawyers told him not to talk about McDougal or Daniels and for once he’s taking their advice. Sarah Sanders has denied both their stories.
I almost feel like I’m getting suckered in to some Facebook/Fox style clickbait, but if my crappy antenna will pick up CBS tonight, I may tune in.
But why?
Why, out of all the times he’s talked and tweeted against his lawyers’ advice, and hurt himself materially—why would he suddenly start being obedient to their advice now?

Well, JMHO… in a nutshell, he’s actually scared.
Couple of things. First, if the abortion situation is true, it has the potential to actually hurt him with his base. OTOH, really, how hard is it for him to say, “I was lost, but now I’m found!! I have seen the light and I am saved!! No longer am I the miserable wretch I was. I will never again ask one of the women I impregnate outside the bonds of my marriage to have an abortion!” They will forgive him. Some won’t, though.
So… second. If it can be demonstrated that Michael Cohen 1) threatened Stormy with bodily harm or some other action in an effort to 2) silence her ahead of the election, and 3) that Cohen was doing so at Trump’s behest, then Trump has got quite a problem on his hands with an illegal campaign contribution.
So far as I can see, he’s got only one defense. It’s a pretty shitty defense: “This is normal for me. I always pay off women when I have illicit affairs with them, so you can’t prove that I did it expressly to hush them up and influence the outcome of the election.”
Obviously, this means having to reveal the details of his many, many affairs and how much he paid each one off to keep them quiet. Might be a winning strategy to avoid an illegal campaign contribution charge, but probably not so appealing to the public.

From my reading of the transcript, no giant bombshells. But still some interesting points:
-There was only one sexual encounter, according to Daniels.
-He pursued her afterwards, suggesting a chance she could get on the Apprentice, but she didn’t believe him and didn’t give in to his advances.
-A few years later, she was paid to give a tabloid interview. The interview was never published, and shortly afterwards she was with her infant daughter and threatened in a parking lot, with the one who threatened her specifically telling her to be quiet about Trump, and suggesting something bad would happen to her if she wasn’t quiet.
-Trump attorney Cohen’s payment of Daniels violates election law (according to election law expert Trevor Potter), and both Cohen and Trump could be at legal risk for it.
-More strong suggestion that there is electronic image/video/audio evidence in Daniels’ and her attorney’s possession, but no specifics.
