They delayed it for 30 minutes to show a college basketball game, and the interview didn’t tell me anything I didn’t know before the interview aired.
Ah well. At least it created new legal troubles for Trump. I hope other women start coming forward too.

I do wonder if anyone saw it after the game, and thought “Oh, here’s that porn star that’s probably stupid and slutty and lying.” I doubt they’d still think she was stupid or lying after the interview.

There was an election.
When Trump started to do well in the primary polls, her story (and her silence) became much more valuable than when Trump was merely a reality TV star.
I get both of that - my point is that - had there been no payment - she could have been ignored like the rest of the women that claimed Trump did things.
Too my recollection - her story did not come up in the leadup to the payment - she had remained silent anyway.
The mere payment gives credence to her story that (absent video/etc) she wouldn’t have gotten otherwise.
The question was really more rhetorical in the sense that Cohen and Trump were really stupid…

It seems his go-to line with all of these women is “you remind me of my daughter” which is creepy as hell. I thought she came across as honest. I honestly believe that she had sex with him to try to get on the Apprentice and then held out when he was stalling. I also think she threatened publicity before the election to get a payout and is now going public for publicity and probably because he wouldn’t pay more. On the other hand, she did not make excuses for her behavior and didn’t claim to be a victim, which is refreshing. I do think she violated the agreement by holding back evidence and by going public but I’ll let the courts decide what to do about that and whether the agreement was even legal. My ultimate takeaway is that she is telling the truth and he is lying, they both behaved badly but I really don’t care about her so I don’t care if her career tanks or if she makes a fortune off this while I do care if his behavior leaves him vulnerable to blackmail.
That’s funny, but how the hell did we get to the point where a porn star has more credibility than the President of the US?
And I don’t just mean about the affair. I’d rather have her in charge of foreign policy, than Trump and Bolton.
Pretty much any human being has more credibility than Donald Trump. Maybe not 100% of people, but about 95% of people.
Blackmail is a big issue, but so is misusing campaign funds. You can’t use campaign funds to pay off a mistress. They tried to give John Edwards 30 years in prison for doing that.
Trump is a slow-pay? Which is an improvement over his usual no-pay.
How did we get to the point where scuzzbugs like JayZ, his leg-spreading wife and Eminem become people we’re supposed to listen to while choosing political candidates and whose voices are touted as worth listening to regarding morality and the future of the country?
In case you guys haven’t noticed, this country went to shit a long time ago. It’s just that now we have a president who reflects how far we’ve fallen. But, he still wears suits and ties and is successful, so at least there’s that.
A successful idiot is still an idiot. I don’t trust those chicks either. He hasn’t got good sense when it comes to women, obviously. And that comparison to his daughter is just gross.
