None of that is surprising. Given his personality and power, it would be SHOCKING if there weren’t allegations of such nature against him.
(And frankly, I think it would be shocking if there weren’t some truth to at least some of them. He seems to be the type of egotistical entitled douchebag who wouldn’t understand that not all women WANT to have sex with him. Unlike Bill Cosby, who seems like the type of guy who respects other people. But I don’t know him.)
It is just paradoxical for lack of a better word to listen to him complain about how all Mexicans are rapists when he has been accused of sexual assault by at least 3 or 4 different women.
But he was born here and he’s rich. Somehow that makes a difference.

Agreed that this is best ignored until and unless it is settled, a verdict comes in, or at least some solid evidence is presented. It might get dropped before any of those occur.

No, it isn’t.
A “high crime” is whatever the House and Senate agree it is, according to the rules for the impeachment trial laid out in the Constitution. It isn’t really a criminal concept, but rather a political one: Think of it as our version of a confidence vote, except it’s one branch of government losing confidence in the leader of a separate, co-equal branch of government, as opposed to a parliament replacing its own leadership.
The flip side is that impeachment can only remove someone from office. You need an actual criminal trial in an actual criminal court to convict someone of an actual crime.
In short, calling rape a “high crime” is misunderstanding the concept entirely. There is no, and there can never be, a list of what constitutes a “high crime” because the system doesn’t work like that.
Given that all of this is happening in America I am waiting for the other serious accusations to reach the light of day - for when the “authorities” stop covering for Clinton and that 37 year old allegation that Clinton raped a kindergarten teacher with a strap-on…
