Trump supporters, a personal plea to please get off the pot

You criticized Obama a lot while he was in office – are you saying now that those of us who disapprove of Trump’s actions and words shouldn’t criticize him?

Until the investigation is complete, how are you so certain it’s all bogus?

Yeah, complaining about the elected leader of the free world is just like constantly ragging on a private citizen who lost an election.

Suck it up, buttercup.

Aw, you seem stressed. Maybe you should take this guy’s advice.

You could have just sent him a PM. I don’t think you are talking to too many Trump supporters here.

You mean like Benghazi or emails, right? Of course, the results didn’t matter to you–she’s still a felon in your eyes, regardless of the law. If the current investigation turns up nothing on Trump, I’ll absolutely accept it. I trust the people in charge to do the job they’re supposed to do. (And, honestly, I don’t necessarily expect anything to come of it, but I respect the process, no matter the conclusion.)

We’re not whining, we’re opposing.

And fairly successfully so far, too. There were some things we couldn’t stop, like Gorsuch taking Merrick Garland’s SCOTUS seat, or the jackbooted thugs of ICE. But we fought ACA repeal to a standstill, and have greatly limited the damage the GOP could do in other areas.

You bet it is! Minimizing the damage he might’ve done to this country is extremely cathartic. And even better, useful and productive.

Tell ya what: you dig up a post of yours from 2016 or earlier saying that the Congressional investigations of Hillary had gone on too long, and it was time to give it up. And we’ll count the number of days the investigations had gone on up to that point.

When the investigations of Trump have gone on that long without any indictments, I will join you in saying it’s time to throw in the towel.

Fair deal?

What’s amazing is that after 8 or 9 investigations, when she’s been cleared by his own side, he still can’t deal with it.

There’s no way for him to deal with it. His posts are involuntary reactions to external stimuli. There’s no thought behind them.

Yay, a knight has arrived to save us!

Lowest funded Kickstarter ever.

I was going to post this story. From yesterday: Benghazi! emails!

When right-wing garbage says “Get over it” or words along those lines, they mean they know that you’re right and that Trump is a failure, but they support him anyway because he promised to make the scary brown people go away. The worthless jackass practicing it here isn’t the only one doing it.

You’re expecting him to actually answer that? :dubious::wink:

It’s a moot point these days. She committed the felonies, she got a pass on them and I doubt anything further will ever be done. If I thought there was a chance she would be prosecuted, I’d still be talking about it, but the miraculous Clinton Teflon-aura has worked its magic once again.

Since we don’t need actual charges, indictments or convictions, would you agree that Trump committed a felony when he raped Ivana?

We had grounds for criticizing Obama. He was an incompetent fuck-up and he showed that every day he was in office.

The only grounds the libs have for crying about Trump is because…well, I guess it’s because he’s not Clinton and he had the audacity to win the election. Oh, and he doesn’t have the best haircut in the world. I’ll give you that one.

If Trump screws up like Obama did (ie, he comes up with crap like Cash For Clunkers, Fast And Furious, Obamacare, etc.), I’ll be happy to join in and criticize him. Until he does, I suggest that you guys quit whining simply because he’s Trump.

Thank you for answering, by the way.

This is not a reasonable assertion about politics. There were things that Obama said and did that can be reasonably criticized. The same is true of Trump.

It’s not reasonable for you to say that there are no grounds for criticism of Trump. That doesn’t mean every criticism is accurate, but there are reasonable criticisms of Trump, just as there are for pretty much every politician in history.

Yes, this.
