Trump supporters who need the ACA are in for a rude surprise

Oh, nonsense. Had the Dems gone with Bernie, he would have lost in a landslide to Trump or any other Republican. You really think Republican voters would have gone for a self-proclaimed socialist?

Starting to think that the GOP is in such a no win situation here that they are going to end up blaming Democrats for initiating a law that can’t be unwound, but working with Democrats to improve it, and then take credit for the good things, and blame the bad things on the original law.

By and large, the Republican voters didn’t elect Trump. It was disgruntled blue collar/Democratic/Independent voters who flipped to the Republican candidate. A lot of those people were very excited about Sanders, and somewhere between indifferent and hostile to Hillary.

All true, and fuck it. If we can get to a place where all of our people can go to a doctor when they need to and have access to one of the few truly wonderful advances in civilization, they can brag themselves blind, all day, all night, and I won’t give a rat’s.

If that’s what it takes to con them into decent and humane policies, so be it!

Ironically, they instead went for someone who is owned and operated by Russia.

GOP lawmakers unaware of Trump’s health care plan

Yeah… Something tells me that this is not going to be a smashing success. Trump seems to be the type of guy who thinks that when he’s boss, when he wants something done, he just shouts at his underlings enough, and they get it done.

"make it bigger! The best! More gold! "

In other words, make rich people pay less, while taking coverage away from the poor people so they can simply die. Sounds like Republicans.

Which is polite speak for “We don’t know what the hell he’s talking about”

HHS choice isn’t being kept in the loop on He Who Must Not Be Name’s healthcare plan so he won’t hae to talk about it in the confirmation hearings.

I’ve seen nothing to convince me that Trump is aware of Trump’s health care plan.

From the ACA repeal thread:

I’m not so sure. The public was in the mood for a major shakeup. Pretty much all my Republican friends on FB assured me I was being silly worrying about Trump. Never happen, they said. And an awful lot of my liberal friends were ecstatic about Bernie. This was a bizarro election. Trump’s advantage was appealing to the anti-PC crowd, but who knows?

There is no plan. There has never been a plan. At least not a cogent one supported by any kind of meaningful number of federal legislators.
