What local Republicans are your referring to? There is only 1 Republican on Chicago’s City Council (out of 50 seats), and he was elected because he was a Firefighter. Chicago has been run by Democrats, and only Democrats, for decades.
Yeah, but Obama’s not associated with those places.
It will certainly bump Chicago up that list but Chicago will still be a good bit behind New Orleans, Detroit, St. Louis and Baltimore.
I am not saying there isn’t a problem in Chicago and it does need to be addressed but if Trump means to run to the rescue and save all these people his efforts are better spent elsewhere.
The only reason for Trump to send the Feds to Chicago is to embarrass Obama’s hometown and a liberal stronghold.
Presuming that other cities don’t also increase their murder rates, too.

And it may be overlooked sometimes nationally, but Chicago’s mayor worked for Obama during his first term. And one other thing- you know how Trump cannot let past snubs go. He usually gets a pretty nasty reception in Chicago, and I would bet that he’s pretty stewed about it.

First of all, I was referring to the greater Chicago area, not just the city proper, because if you think these problems stop at the city borders you’re sadly naive or deluded. Second, even being an extreme minority in government in no way means the Republicans in the area are any less corrupt.
Taking actual military action inside the US and not for insurrection is just wrong. The national guard were deployed because there wasban armednrwbllion against segregation.
Another Civil War is not the solution. It’s scary that anyone thinks this is okay.
This is why I want Trump impeached. This is why Pence is better. This is why I consider voting for Trump to be betrayal and why I am terrified. This is why I find it so hard to have any sympathy for Trump supporters.

Best thing about WALLS is that whenever the inevitable scandal shows up the “-gate” attachment will make more sense.
By the way I prefer walls to the “War on ___” and the ____ czar and patronage positions that just bring publicity to something, picks the low hanging fruit, calls it a success, and doesn’t fix a damn thing long term.
