I’d start looking at front businesses. Money laundering. That can be done quietly, and with results.
This cuts off the Gangbangers and cause of violence money. Yes follow the money. The Feds are good at it.
There is alot he can do, legally. without asking for “the national guard”
He can hit them, the crooked cops, and the politicians, right down to squeezing the precinct captains till they sing.
Rahm Emanuel’s sanctuary city declaration just gave him the green light to start in on ICE coming in, now we look at rackets like The Spanish Coalition for Jobs, which is nothing more than an ID gathering, cheap labor for Dem businesses, and dope dealer front. Ouch, where does that rabbit hole lead? I grew up in McKinley Park, trust me… I know too much about it.

President Duterte allegedly kills, or has killed, people he doesn’t like, on his own authority.
Mainly drug dealers.
President Obama kills, or has killed, people he doesn’t like, on his own authority.
Mainly terrorists, including Americans.
Most countries do not give the power of life and death to the Head of State — they leave the decision to judges to condemn. Nor did America before [ the Kennedy murder squad in Latin America that so horrified LBJ was ultra vires ].
President Hollande has copied Obama’s power, and now you’ve chosen for President Trump to inherit this ability to deliver death from the skies ! Well done, America !
And users, of course. And street children.
He won the presidency by running on the Kill Thousands of Criminals ticket.
He supported Hillary in her election.
It is isn’t it? Though I don’t think the small-government wing of the Republican party is too thrilled with an expansion of big government. Which we haven’t seen yet with Trump since it’s only been approximately a week.
Of course, none of that is what Loser Donald is actually thinking about doing, because he’s not smart enough to come up with an idea that nuanced. He thinks all the cops have to do is “get tough” and “stop holding back” and “go after the bad guys” and all will be well.
Any attempted federal crackdown on Chicago is going to be about as subtle as the military parades he wants to send down Pennsylvania Avenue.
A federal crackdown on Chicago is unconstitutional. The only thing Trump can really do consistent with his views is tell the Justice Dept to go easy on cops accused of civil rights violations in Chicago, which is a power consistent with the power of prosecutorial discretion. He could simply say, “Chicago is a special case, we won’t be constraining them at the federal level.”
Not that what he’s saying makes any sense whatsoever. Federal gun control laws would do nothing to make Chicago safer, since they’ve never made Chicago safer before. You see, there’s these people called “criminals”, and they don’t tend to obey laws, and if you’re not actually arresting and jailing these people, the problem continues. But then again, these are the same people who think crime can’t be stopped with police and prisons. So what’s the point of gun prosecutions then? To harass the law abiding?
Democrats have been running Chicago uninterruptedly since 1927. There’s absolutely nothing they can or will do to improve the situation. As great of a President as Trump is proving himself to be in the last few days, it is doubtful he’ll be able to stop the wholesale slaughter of people (mostly minorities) that’s going on in Chicago, and in other, similarly democratic-dominated cities like Baltimore, Camden, Detroit, St. Louis, New Orleans (I think democrats have been in charge for 150 years there by now).
The only solution is for Trump to appoint a conservative judge to Supreme Court, and have them rule that Democrats cannot occupy a single office in any of those cities for a set period of time (say, 10 years) to give Republicans a chance to clean up the liberal mess. Will they succeed? Maybe, maybe not…but things can’t get much worse…
Why don’t they just send Guliani there? It’s like the playbook to solve this problem isn’t known: stop and frisk, broken window policing, swift kick to the balls for all the community organizers and Emanual Rahm-like imbeciles, free vasectomies and tubal ligations (and a financial incentive to get one)…
I don’t know what planet you’re living on but on mine the GOP has never been happier. One SCOTUS justice nominated next week, three more in their 80s (2 of them liberals and one who often sides with them), policies they’ve long advocated soon to be realized, their cup runneth over. They’re quite happy to tolerate President Trump’s quirks. After all they owe the guy everything.
