Maybe not in spirit, but he belonged to a troop, he was registered with the BSA. You could say he never should have been a scout, or never acted appropriately as a scout.
But, now hopefully, you can also say, he is no longer a scout.
Disrespect is one thing, and I feel anyone who was booing or otherwise dishonoring their scouting philosophy in response to Obama “was never a Scout” either, but deliberate malicious damage to expensive equipment is gonna get you booted.
I know Trump is more evil than Hitler and Satan combined but I never thought he was so evil as to align himself with children fuckers. I guess he’s more evil than God now.
Thanks, Drunky. A thread just isn’t complete without you popping in, spewing some over the top inanity, then popping back out again to, one supposes, sleep it off.
Take care, and see you next time!
The fun part is noting that in order to present a hyperbolic version of how normal people see Trump Drunky has to resort to “more evil than Hitler and Satan combined” because actual Trump keeps getting worse and worse.
“Yes, it’s terrible how Trump keeps stabbing kittens…wait, he did? Really?..Okay it’s terrible how Trump raped and killed a busload of nuns…what? Oh COME ON…”
Wasn’t there a thread way back when when Republicans were asked what it would taken for them to openly oppose President Trump? I sure would like to compare notes between then and now.
I remember that thread, I don’t think that this is the one you are thinking of, but it is similar. I don’t think I have it in my subscribed threads, as I didn’t seem to come across it.
I think the consensus was that the trump supporters like okra or dickta felt that trump really could do no wrong, and no matter what he did, it was better than what Clinton did.
Some of the non-Failure McLoserface supporting republicans did express a bit more hesitancy in their support, but essentially it sounded like they would oppose trump if it had been proven that he had committed a crime.
I never have understood this. I mean, yes, I can respect the institution in the abstract. I can argue that having a president is a good thing for our country, and stuff like that. But what does that have to do with showing respect to the man, even though I don’t respect him?
The only logic I could see would be that respecting the office mean that, if someone not respectful has it, I refuse to acknowledge that they actually are President, out of respect for the office. If I acknowledge that Trump is president, I’m sullying the office by association.
In other words, it would seem that respecting the office means being disrespectful to the man who is sullying the office.
