God you’re an idiot. Discrimination isn’t wrong just because it harms people who didn’t make a choice, but it’s wrong also because it fucking harms people who have made a choice that doesn’t harm anyone else. Being gay hurts no one, whether or not it’s a choice (and it’s not). Being trans hurts no one, whether or not it’s a choice (and it’s not a choice either – do you insist you made a choice to be a man in a male body?). Being fat hurts no one, whether or not it’s a choice. It doesn’t matter if these things are choices or not. These characteristics harm no one. Fat people can be just as smart, hard working, and decent as people who aren’t fat, you bigoted lying coward.
Being a hateful bigoted person like you, on the other hand, hurts a lot of people. Stop being such a lying, cowardly, bigoted scumbag. Maybe then you’ll actually meet some women who will find you attractive.
I do wish to note, you have to be particularly bad for iiandyiiii to respond to you in this manner, and be completely dismissive of anything you have to say.
Height above or below a certain range only disqualifies you in our society from things requiring particular physical abilities proportional to body size, such as enlisting in the military or being astronaut crew (and so does excessie obesity FWIW) or being a basketball player or gymnast. Any “discrimination” against the short is of the cultural sort and comes under the umbrella of “Body Shaming” together with everyone else who does not conform to the media-propagated “standard of beauty”, so YES you *are *an ally to the fat, the bald, the big-footed, the short-fingered, and the plain ugly.
That notwhitstanding that, even in afully egalitarian society nobody is *entitled *to be considered hot dating material by hotties of your preferred sex and gender alignment, and *they *can pick and choose who they’ll have sex with entirely at will with no need to justify it to you, is just the fuckin’ way life is. Get over it like most of us have. It gives *you *in turn the right to reject anyone *you *wish to reject. But you do not get to insult them and proclaim your revulsion without getting pushback.
No one’s promoting “trannyism.” What we’re doing is promoting the idea of acceptance of the transgender population. No one is trying to convert you from hetero/cis into being transgendered. We’re trying to get you to realize that, just like gay/lesbian/tall/short/left handed people, the transgender population is made up of human beings. They just want the same rights the rest of us enjoy, they want there to not exist a stigma attached to them. And more than anything, they want people to just leave them alone to live their lives.
That’s absolute bullshit. Discrimination on the basis of religion is considered wrong because people are supposed to have freedom of religion. Nothing to do with religious affiliation being somehow involuntary.
Likewise, it’s wrong to discriminate against people who identify as black even if they could pass for white. It’s wrong to discriminate against people in same-sex relationships even if they are bisexuals who could be happy in a heterosexual relationship.
In the same way, it is wrong to discriminate against people because of their appearance (except where appearance is genuinely relevant to the situation) even if that aspect of their appearance is something they could change.
Fat people, old people, ugly people, short people, bald people, whoever: the issue is not their limitations but their rights. As a short person, you are entitled to be treated with dignity and respect irrespective of the fact that you didn’t choose to be short. (As a bigoted asshole, of course, you’re entitled to a lot less dignity and respect.)
You just know he’s going to whine about how you folks are not really moderate; you’re just a gang of libs. In this case he’ll be correct as you’ll be liberating the TM!
The part of this post that I didn’t quote is stupid and wrong, but I wanted to highlight this part to say that the poster clearly does not know why in America it is wrong to discriminate against religions.
Do whaaaaaaat? You can change religion at any time. Are you sure you’re not confusing that with age to see R-rated movies? Do you have limited contact with the outside world or something?
I think what DerekMichaels00 was muzzily trying to get at was the notion that when one is a legal adult, one can be considered effectively responsible for one’s own religious self-identification.
Not that it makes any difference to the overall shittiness of his “argument”, mind you.
Some of us like 'em, and not in any kind of “settling for less” way, either.
Of course, now that short stature in males is inextricably associated in my mind with DerekMichaels00, it’s a hell of a lot less appealing.
In fact, the real tragedy here is not that short stature is diminishing the appeal of DerekMichaels00, who would probably be an unlikeable spiteful asshole no matter how tall he was, but that association with DerekMichaels00 is diminishing the appeal of short men in general.
Fortunately, the odds are good that he won’t be able to resist saying “tranny” in his posts and soon will no longer be around to keep tarnishing the image of better men than himself.
Why are you so hysterical over the idea that someone might “suggest” you date a trans chick? It’s just that: a suggestion. It’s not a command. You’re not automatically obligated to do so. Date whoever the fuck you want.
And anyways: you’re not owed a date with ANYONE, fat/skinny, attractive/ugly, cis/trans. Nobody is.
Forget trans chicks or fat chicks, I suggest you just go out and get yourself a Real Doll. I’m sure she won’t care how short you are. (Nor do the rest of us – shut the fuck up about it already)
