So why is nobody talking about how absolutely awful Trump is at reading a teleprompter? He turns his whole body towards the teleprompter and reads, without the slightest hint of recognition or comprehension. It’s like he is seeing the words for the first time and understanding none of it.
Last night on MSNBC, as they were waiting for Trump to start his speech in Milwaukee, Rachel Maddow was point out this very thing.
This makes sense. I wish I’d thought of saying it first.
With any luck or justice at all, it’d go the way of the Sarah Palin channel.
I stand corrected, this one is even better.
Hmm… y’know, if she wins, just from the spike in panicked demand we won’t be able to find a box of decent ammo for any sort of reasonable price after election day, and even craptastic knockoff semiautos from West Bootlegland will cost a fortnight’s take-home.
Not to mention what will happen to the price of tin foil.
I think that this is probably because he’s seeing the words on the teleprompter for the first time, and understands none of it.
Sometimes the simplest explanation is the right one.

I just can’t wrap my head around this continued “reset” of Trump. Uh, what the hell are they trying to reset him back to? Something prior to the racist, misogynist, xenophobe he is now? Was there a time he wasn’t that?
And even you CAN get him to read from a script like a good monkey… so what? How does that erase all the crap he has spewed in the last year? Or what he would do for 4 years in office?
A “Reset” implies a starting back at the beginning of some kind. What beginning are they going for here?
With these people? It’s not really about a reset, it’s a maximum Hillary smear campaign. Make her look ridiculously bad enough to people that Trump looks less ridiculously bad.
No matter what they do, Trump will revert to what he knows best. Being a loudmouth. I’ll bet even a shock collar wouldn’t keep him from talking without thinking. His biggest problem is the press conferences where the answers are not rehearsed. His campaign needs to stop those if he’s to have the least bit of a chance.
Like shaking an etch-a-sketch – blank slate.
