Trump's new cabinet

???

Now that’s funny. It made me enter 5 characters, so I put in 5 question marks. The post then truncated to three.

WAG? That was the name of the dog or goat that she bragged about cruelly killing for frivolous reasons.

Once again, Susan Collins never fails to disappoint.

She really is a worthless git.

Have you seen how she furrows her brow when concerned? It is quite impressive.

I feel like the Senate may be forgetting that anyone they approve can be moved to any other position. You might be alright with Gabbard as DNI. Would you want her as the director of the CIA?

The CIA is under the DNI’s portfolio.

And, likewise, Chris Wray was under Donald Trump’s portfolio and yet he continued to arrest Trump’s friends.

The person closest to an entity generally has more direct power.

Point of order: there’s no evidence that Trump has friends.

No message.

RFK Jr advances to the Senate floor.

Jesus wept.

Seems like the GOP is gonna go for broke and try to break the country to the point the only ‘fix’ is to put in one of their tyrants.

Trump will swept asside. He’s to stupid to understand that though.

I admit to being surprised. Either Trump has genuinely convinced the Senate Republicans that there’s a there there in all of this, or they’ve decided to stop getting in his way of destroying himself.

If there is a there there, I’d love to hear someone finally tell me what it is.

I honestly think that the only “there there” is “give me who I want in my cabinet, or you get primaried, and can enjoy death threats from my supporters,” especially after enough GOP senators refused to support Gaetz for AG.

Yep. There isn’t a collective spine amongst the Republicans.

And Gabbard moves to the Senate floor as well. Awesome! :face_vomiting:

Also, this is a Truth post from DJT:
20 years ago, Autism in children was 1 in 10,000. NOW IT’S 1 in 34. WOW! Something’s really wrong. We need BOBBY!!! Thank You!

Change the party name to ConspiracyTheoryInc

What study is giving him the 1-in-34 numbers? Is that just RFKj’s blathering?

The voices in his head.

It’s worth remembering that RFK, Jr.'s one-time VP candidate (a billionaire, it’s worth pointing out) threatened any non-RFK supporters with primary challenges … financed by … her:

Former RFK Jr. running mate threatens to primary senators who vote against nomination - The Hill

Let’s say that my options are to lose control of my choices or to face a challenger, as an incumbent, during the next election.

To the extent that there’s a difference between those two options, in the first I definitely stop being a Senator and able to do what I feel is needed. In the 2nd, I might still lose that but it’s not guaranteed.

If they’re trading the other direction, then they’re not thinking straight.

Control of choice is not a priority for most Senators.

Preservation of privileges is.

Given that, their thinking is quite rational.
