Trump's Republican primary campaign

Trump’s / Arpaio’s idea of police freedom to arrest, detain, and torture at will is lots more than just a bad idea.

Coupled with the end of press freedom it is nothing less than the end of our way of life.

Funny that the folks agitating for this are the ones who are usually loudest about personal freedom & flag waving.

It is ever thus on the path to totalitarianism.

Nice article on 538 about why Donald Trump.

He may have a ceiling that is too low to win the general election, but to the misinformed, he is the savior for which they have yearned.

“… this millionaire cosmopolitan who has married two immigrants …”

In case you haven’t seen it before, that proves there are some jobs that Americans just won’t do.

Upside: unlimited blowjobs.

Downside: Thursday is your day in the barrel.

Clearly you didn’t get the memo - it’s liberals who are the real fascists, in the same way the Jews of Cable Street were the real fascists for suppressing the free speech of that nice Mr Mosley and his followers.

If only you were just making that up. (Jonah Goldberg was just making it up, but the point is that this already is a hoary meme in RW circles.)

I didn’t think I was making it up; I mentioned it in reaction to previous comments in this very thread.

Well done!

Mitt Romney actually mentioned that today.

Apparently Donald Trump doesn’t know that his foreign policy advisor is a former Palestinian Christian militia leader, and is not a Muslim at all.

While I don’t dislike him, Trump’s foreign policy proposals like eliminating NATO are dangerous and ignorant. Still prefer him to Ted Cruz, who is a lunatic. I like Trump’s neutrality on Israel and Palestine, but overall in foreign policy he is an idiot.
Hillary would murder him in the debates when it comes to foreign policy.

In terms of the primaries I hope he wins all the upcoming states and gets more than 1000 delegates.

Wikipedia describes Phares as “a prominent adherent and promoter of the Sharia Law Conspiracy Theory, in which he believes Muslim Americans seek to subvert and overthrow the U.S. Government and Constitution with Islamic law.”

I heard him on npr yesterday. He sounds like a delusional fool.

He should fit right in at the Trump White House, then.

Trump releases a new campaign commercial; no, wait, it an ISIS recruiting video.

Trump has, in fact, released a list of five foreign-policy advisors (other than his own brain, and including Phares), and . . . oh dear. Oh my. Oh shit.

Yeah, that’s pretty dire. Aren’t there any elderly ex-Nazis he can name as prospective Cabinet secretaries?

I heard the same bit. It was impressively pathetic. You can listen to it here.

The sales pitch is that Trump is saying things that he does not believe now and in the office will defer to experts. So don’t worry about what he says. And then lies and says that Trump does not actually say we should torture. And just plain does not answer several questions asked.

Remember being told in 2000 how it didn’t matter that Dubya was ignorant and lazy, because he’d have a bunch of great people around to tell him what to do?

My paraphrase:

Trump: We’ll totally torture, but just some.
Inskeep: So he wants to torture.
Phared: He didn’t say anything about torture. Oh, and we’ll get the Arabs to fight in Syria.
Inskeep: How?
Phared: And they’ll be awesome and we won’t have to send soldiers.
Inskeep: Why would they do this?
Phared: And then we’ll win.

Neo-Nazi Trump supporter calls for execution of Ted Cruz’s ‘sl*t wife’ over links to ‘Jew banksters’

It’s barely even started, friends.
