Not exactly the point.
Wait, are you saying that  mocking the disabled is wrong? Are you saying Trump shouldn’t have made fun of a disabled reporter for his disability?
Trump claimed later that he does not know Kovaleski; I did note before that Trump also had less of an impressive memory when he claimed that he did not know who the reporter from Univision was, after he had named Jorge Ramos in a complaint in social media against the Univision network a few months before their infamous encounter in a press meet.
Here is more information about the interview Kovaleski did with Trump back then.
Sure, I’ll go on record as saying that. My previous post goes to questions regarding Trump’s memory and whether he mostly attacks people who’ve attacked him though.
You mean the airline that only operated for three years and never turned a profit. Gosh, who could be negative about that?
The hit piece was in re the inaugural flight, IIRC.
“Even if it’s accurate?”
“Oh, especially if it’s accurate.”
Come on, now. Is it so unreasonable for The Donald to demand fawning, uncritical, laudatory press coverage at all times and across all media?
When he’s elected, it’s going to be incredible what he does to the press.
The press will write about him and pay him to do it! He’ll be the greatest First Amendment President ever!
What difference does it make whether the hit piece was regarding the inaugural flight or a different flight?
[/snark] I suspect you meant to write before.
Am I the only one that would love to see a US remake of Yes, Minister/Prime Minister with a thinly disguised Trump look a like, who much to his own shock and surprise becomes President, then has no idea what he’s doing and is shamelessly manipulated by his civil servants.
“Sir Trumphery”
I don’t think there’s really much room to improve on the original, really. And with a shoot-from-the-lip type like Trump you’d lose Sir Humphrey’s greatest weapon; all he had to do was call an idea “courageous” and it was dead in the water.
The original might not be able to be improved but can always be updated to be politically relevant to today and brought before a wider audience. In “Sir Trumpherys” case he would manipulate the Donald-a-like by appealing to his massive ego and love of attention rather than using cowardice as Sir Humphrey does.
Trump wants 5 million or he won’t show at the next debate.
I’ll give him points if he’s serious about that.
You give him points for extortion?
If he was doing a speaking engagement somewhere, or being a guest star, he’d ask for money and maybe donate it since he doesn’t need it. But he doesn’t seem to see the difference between doing that and running for president which means it is good for people to see him under fire.
It might well be an excuse to get out of the debate which he might want to do since he has been heavy on the lying and insulting lately.
That might be a smart move, or perhaps “cunning” is a better word. The debates aren’t doing him much good, he might see them as nothing more than an opportunity for the also-rans to bask in his attention. People tune in to see him, and the others grab what they can. Why should he help them out? He can go give speeches before adoring crowds, serve up his red meat rhetoric of the day, and CNN will cover it. Who needs a debate?
But then, what do I know about how his mind works, I’m not even a cynic, much less a rich one.
The linked story comes from a conspiracy nutter named Wayne Madsen.
Think he isn’t a nutter? Here is an article about Madsen claiming Obama is gay.
Step One on campaign going straight to hell: He ain’t getting the billionaire money.
It appears the Adelsons will be backing Cruz and/or Rubio, or none at all right now. They may want to wait out the sniping contest both Rubio & Cruz are having with smear ads, or they just may give to both campaigns.
NO WHERE is there any mention of Donald Trump, his campaign, or his candidacy. This is where everyone can stop paying attention to voting polls.
With the Kochs and Super PACs remaining, he’s not getting any more major finances. So is Trump even willing to go independent and suck up 15-20% of GOP votes away from their real nominee, or is my “out by January” prediction due to be extended?
Sure, money is nice. Big money is nicer. But when you’ve got a significant chunk of the party who will greedily slurp up the nonsense coming out of your mouth, no matter what it is, do you really need money? Jeb has spent a lot of money and that money hasn’t gotten him squat. I’m really beginning to think none of the conventional political wisdom applies to Trump.
