Is this going to be his downfall? It is leased from the federal government, so he will be breaking the law from day one if he keeps it. Also, foreign diplomats have been using it as a way to curry favor with him. I have been hearing that is unconstitutional and could be an impeachable offense. Many foreign diplomats have already admitted to sucking up to Trump by staying at hos hotel.
I think the proper term is “curry flavor.”

I don’t know the legalities involved, but I suspect he may hand over his stake in the Washington hotel to his children(they are already partners). Diplomats admitting to using the hotel to gain favor? That’s almost impossible to accurately assess. Im sure a few diplomats can be found who have said they use the hotel to gain favor, but without some form of communication from the Trump side showing they pressure diplomats to use the hotel then it’s hard to prove.
