Liquid Trust is a spray-on oxytocin based product which inspires all who catch a whiff to trust you with the most intimate details of their life, hand out promotions like candy and generally kiss up. So says every review I came across except Amazon. But then, every review is from some site selling it.
I would link to the Vera Labs (manufacturer) site but it has audio annoyance so be warned.
It is impressive that the first 9,000 reviews are all glowing tributes by retailers. I don’t think I have ever seen such a tidal wave of crap. Or am I wrong?
I would think so, oxytocin is a RX only medication. However, there are times that the FDA takes awhile before they find out and recall the products. For example, look how long it took them to take Cholestin off the market for advertising they contain Lovastatin.
No, it’s not. Oxytocin is a hormone produced by humans, primarily by females, used as a prescription for inducing labor. It also has other effect during breast feeding, among others, and has been linked with bonding, and has been called the “cuddle hormone” . Oxycontin on the other hand, is the brand name for Oxycodone extended release, an opiate derivative used for pain control (and is heavily abused).
Even setting aside the issue of legality, though, the idea is supposed to be that anyone who smells it naturally becomes more trusting and generous? Well, you’re going to smell it a lot more than anyone you interact with. Wouldn’t that mean that the user would end up trusting the other guy even more, and end up buying the Brooklyn Bridge or selling Manhattan for a few beads?
There have been previous attempts to market low doses of oxytocin OTC. Most of those were taken off the market for various reasons. Normal supplies, to be given by injection, are prescription only. If someone were to find a way to give inhalable small doses, it would likely be legal to sell without a prescription.
I guarantee that the claims made for it are 100% bullshit. That’s the only guarantee you will ever encounter in connection with oxytocin that you can unreservedly believe in.
That’s the mommy hormone, right? Works kinda like MDMA… only you get milk too.
I doubt evaporation alone could be an effective method of delivery… it isn’t with most hormones.
I can’t really see it doing anything much, unless you actually spray people with it… and I personally would be pretty distrustful of at anyone spraying me with an unknown substance.
