The conversation district has had yearly plant sales in early-to-mid March for as long as I’ve lived here, so that’s where I’ve generally gone to buy plants: you order them in the early spring then go and retrieve your order several weeks later. But it’s already April and there’s no word of the annual sale, so it seems really unlikely that it’s happening this year
There aren’t any nurseries in the area that anyone I know would recommend, so it seems like buying online is the best choice.
I want:
[ul]
[li]blueberry bushes that are old enough to produce this year (at least 2-3 years old)[/li]- particularly of breeds that produce smaller, sour-er berries
[li]raspberry bushes that are old enough to produce this year (probably also at least 2-3 years old)[/li][li]good deals on strawberry plants, pumpkin plants, and flowers would be a wonderful bonus, but I can mostly cover these locally[/ul][/li]
All plants would be shipped to zone 5b.
Is there an online nursery you consider excellent? Lives up to promises about plants being mature at the time they claim? Decent prices including shipping costs? Please tell me!
Thanks
