Truth is, indeed, stranger than fiction (cloned puppy lady=sex slave lady)

I saw her interviewed on tv…and she doesn’t have an English accent. I’ve also read that she denies she is this lady.

I wonder how this would have been handled if it had happened nowadays. It seems to me like she basically got a slap on the wrist for stalking, kidnapping, and raping the guy - but then again, stalking wasn’t a well known phenomenon back then, and I suspect even rape of females probably wasn’t treated as seriously back then as it is now, since back then the feminist ideas that “no means no” and that nobody “asks for it” were probably not as culturally entrenched.

Eh, I dunno. Granted, a generation ago more credence was given to the notion that if you went to places where people went looking to get laid, and acted like people act looking to get laid, then some measure of responsibility attached to you if something happened that you didn’t want to happen, but actual kidnapping and imprisonment with a view to inflict unwanted sex were pretty much frowned upon. Except when the perp was hot, the victim was male, and it was all a good giggle in the papers, naturally.

The link says she was a drama student. She sure knows how to make drama, all right.

I can’t believe that she was let out on bail for such a serious crime.

What would she have an accent? She is from the States. From the article linked above:

Apparently both cases have been closed and shes not in any trouble whatsoever any more. That pisses me off.

They’ll just be uncloned.

Charges dropped; they’ll walk.

Wow, she really concealed her identity well by changing her last name from McKinney to … McKinney.

I must admit I like the title of the the other thread better, you can’t go wrong with “Booger Cloner”. Hey, that would make a great alias!
matt, didn’t you get the memo? It’s totally OK to kidnap someone and make them your sex slave if you’re hot. (See: the mindset of Edward Cullen in Twilight.)

I swear, this whole story has the makings of a novel…
WTF? Edward’s the one who is avoiding the sex (haven’t read the last book yet, but if he makes Bella his sex slave, I’ll eat the damn thing). If you are talking about Bella trying to push herself on him, she’s a * horny teenager*, and it isn’t that he doesn’t want it, he just doesn’t want to hurt her with his physical strength. Yeah, their relationship can be dysfunctional, but the sexual aspect is the least of it.

Sorry to derail the thread, but I had to get that off my chest.

I can see a movie in the making.

Well, a good friend of mine has in fact written a screenplay based on the earlier parts of this story…

Yeah, a couple of collars got felt, but the cops had no leads.

They get white armor to put on, are given blasters, and sent out to Skywalker Ranch of course. Where they attack.

I honestly LOL’d at my own stupidity after reading the OP.
