Trying to find a book title and author

Hi,

For the life of me I cannot remember the name of a great book a read aaaages ago.

It’s basically a satirical book about superheroes, or supermen. I seem to recall on the back it asked the question of why we never see superheroes having sex or going to the toilet etc.

It’s very graphic (sex and violence), and opens with one of the main characters (who has a brother like him), on a battlefield in Africa somewhere with a “piss hardon” (quoting from the book). Detailing that he always gets one after a battle and that it is ready to explode… then a fly lands on it.

It has a secret society of a race of immortals based again somewhere in Africa, and an agency that is hunting them down to kill them. The super race are all super rich as well.

Anyways it not the best description but it’s all I can remember :stuck_out_tongue: I think it might have been banned in the UK as well before finally being published and could be an older novel 60’s to 80’s?

Anyways if anyone has a clue it would be much appreciated as I wouldn’t mind reading it again if I can find the title\author

Cheers!

Oh and the two main characters seem to get around naked a lot of the time…

Pleeeeeeease anyone read it and remember this book at all??!?!

Was it Superfolks by Robert Mayer?

LOL - I just found it

A Feast Unknown by Philip Jose Farmer.

Fantastic book from the memiors of the son of jack the ripper.

Lord Grandrith armed with the belief that he is the son of Jack the Ripper tells the story of his remarkable and unbridled life, beginning with his discovery of the secret of immortality.
I saw Superfolks as I was searching and it looks like a good read as well.

<admin>For the record, the OP is now using only one name, so the issue is resolved. No warning issued.</admin>
