I’m not sure if GQ is the right place to put this.
I remember reading an article a couple of years ago describing differences in the work habits of each generation. My generation - I’m 21 - tends to work in shorter, more concentrated bursts. Older generations work slower and steadier over the day. So what amounts to 8 hours of work spread over the day by older workers is completed in 5 hours of intense work by younger workers. The younger workers focus more intensely for a shorter amount of time.
I find that my work habits are like that, I go into a concentrated frenzy for a while but then I need a longer break.
Has anyone read this article? Do you remember what it was?
