I know we had a CFL thread a few months ago. I’m having a hard time finding the sort of floodlight I want in CFL. I like white to blue-white light and a bright light so optimumly I would go with 5000K & 1500 lm instant-on.
They are impossible to find, at least at Home Depot or Lowes. Before I start hunting in lighting specific stores or compromise I’d like to know if what I’m looking for doesn’t exist or is prohibitively expensive.
The home improvement warehouses only stock the commonest bulbs, intended for high volume sales . There are lots of sellers on line. One I’ve used is “1000bulbs dot com” (not intended to be a link). They’re competitively priced and reliable in delivery, at least in my experience. You might try there.
