I’m trying to identify where these 8 images came from for a just for fun contest. I would love any help or insight the genius of straight dope may offer.

Sorry Maserschmidt - I took one down because we found it. It was LeRoy Larson and the Minnesota Scandinavian Ensemble album cover.

Photo #5 resembles Woody Guthrie, but can’t be sure.

Often for these kinds of things, TinEyeis your friend. I searched a couple of the images though (the individual images that make up the composite are also in the photostream) and it didn’t come up with anything.

I don’t think that’s Woody. The eyes look all wrong.

Number seven could be Meat Loaf, a long time ago, but somehow I doubt it.

For number one, my only guess would be Pixel Pete.

Thanks for the idea MrSquishy - I’ve tried both tineye and reverse google images and neither have shed any light on these.

I’ve got to hope people will recognize them.

With number 1, playing a chainsaw, I would guess either Ted Nugent or Jackyl?

That might be me in number one. At least that’s my face. Never played an instrument, though. Photoshop?

I swear those all look like band photos from the infamous “Rock n Roll Hall of Douchebags”, but it would be too much work to go search it.
