"Tumbleweeds" strip: Politically incorrect?

I live in the South Bay area of Southern California, where I had been enjoying the comic strip “Tumbleweeds” since 1972. About two years ago, however, my local paper, the South Bay Daily Breeze, discontinued it; they said the syndicate was no longer distributing it.
I’m skeptical about that, but I think political correctness may have caused the Breeze to withdraw the strip.

Tumbleweeds is still riding his trusty steel Epic at http://www.kingfeatures.com/ and the official site http://www.tumbleweeds.com/ .

Thanks, Padeye.

Although I think Epic is made of horse stuff, not steel.
