Ok, I saw a cool coffee pot on TV, it looked like a tall american “stovepot” type, but with a big stick on the side of it. (Think a head with a q-tip in the ear). It’s a turkish coffee pot, the old style (the new ones look like buckets with a long stick). Does anyone know a national or midwestern chain store that carries such things?
Are you talking about an old-style ibrik? I don’t know who (other than this site, which just happens to be a Google result) sells them. I think the new-style ibrik is also called the cezve. Anyway, given the (I hope) proper terms, maybe you’ll have a better chance of locating one.
Ya know, I don’t even drink coffee. Nor have I been to Turkey. Some random bits of information really don’t belong in my brain.
